'I got so weak I had to sit down'

Do you believe in dreams?

I was a very young man when I reported to my company on the front lines. I had been in combat for about a year when one night I had a dream that I walked around a small hill and there was a large tree in front of me. I could see two soldiers, and they were pointing their rifles at me. I woke up and couldn’t go back to sleep.

About a week later, I led my squad to find where the enemy was. I walked around a small hill, and there was the same tree (as the one) in my dream. I couldn’t see the soldiers in the tree, but I knew they were there, and I knew where they were. I raked the tree with my Thompson, and two soldiers fell out.

I got so weak I had to sit down. Some day, I want to thank my guardian angel for showing me that dream.
